Zippy's Giant Carrot

There once was a cute little rabbit named Zippy. One day, while he was hopping through the forest, he found a big, bright, orange carrot.

"Hooray!" shouted Zippy. "This carrot is all mine!" He grabbed his carrot and started to hop, hop, hop away.

As he was hopping, he met his friend, Twitch the Squirrel. Twitch looked at the carrot in Zippy's hands and said, "Wow, that looks so delicious!"

"Yes, it's mine!" said Zippy and continued on his way. A little further, he saw Prickles the Hedgehog. Prickles was also staring at the carrot with admiration.

Just as Zippy sat down to eat the carrot all by himself, he thought of his friends' sad faces. He felt like the carrot was stuck in his throat.

"It's no fun to eat all alone," he thought. Then, he had a wonderful idea!

Zippy broke the carrot in half with a loud "SNAP!". He took a big piece to Twitch the Squirrel. "Here, my friend, this is for you!"

Then he broke the remaining piece again with another "SNAP!". He gave a piece to Prickles the Hedgehog. "This is your share, Prickles!"

Now all three friends had a piece of carrot to eat. They all sat down together, side by side, and happily ate their carrots with a "Crunch, crunch, crunch!"

Zippy understood that day that even the most delicious carrot is sweeter when shared with friends. Eating together was much nicer than eating alone!
