Bedtime stories are short, quiet books written for the last few minutes of the day. This page has short say-goodnight books for babies and toddlers plus calm stories for ages 4-9 in which the hero heads home and falls asleep; every book is free to read or play with narration.
This page holds two kinds of books. The short, repetitive ones for babies and toddlers have a child saying goodnight to the Sun, the clouds and the stars while pajamas, a toothbrush and a teddy bear each take their turn. The ones for ages 4-6 tell a small adventure, but they all end in the same place: the hero heads home, closes their eyes and drifts off to sleep. There are a few calm stories for ages 7-9 too. What they share is a slow pace and an ending that lands on calm instead of excitement.
