One sunny morning, a little kitten named Muffin saw something glowing in the middle of her room. It was a fluffy white pillow that looked as light as a cloud. Muffin walked toward it, her tail twitching with excitement. “I wonder how soft it is?” she thought.

Muffin curled up on the pillow and let out a happy sigh. But suddenly, she frowned. “Hmm,” Muffin said, shifting her weight. “This side is a bit hard.” The surface didn't feel like the soft, squishy cloud she had imagined.

Muffin didn’t give up. She grabbed the edge of the pillow with her paws and—flip!—she turned it over to the other side. She buried her nose into the fabric and smiled. “There it is! This side is much softer!”

Just then, the door creaked open and Muffin’s friend, Cinnamon the puppy, walked in. Cinnamon was carrying a giant, bright blue pillow in his mouth. “Hi Muffin! Look what I found,” Cinnamon muffled. “My pillow is much bigger than yours!”

Cinnamon dropped his big blue pillow right next to Muffin’s white one. The two friends looked at them side by side. “You're right,” said Muffin, comparing them. “Yours is like a giant island, and mine is like a little fluffy cloud.”

Soon, their friend Fluffy the rabbit hopped into the room. Fluffy was holding a tiny, bright yellow, round pillow in her paws. “And my pillow is the smallest of all!” she chirped happily, showing it to Muffin.

Fluffy hugged her yellow pillow tightly. “It might be small, but it is very, very squishy,” she said with a giggle. She squeezed the pillow to show how it changed shape. It was round, bright, and looked very cozy.

Muffin and Cinnamon began to line up all the different pillows on the floor. Muffin touched the big blue one and then her white one. “The big pillow is great for stretching out, and the small one is perfect for a headrest!” Muffin said. They realized that comparing things was a fun game.

“Come on,” Muffin said to Fluffy. “Let’s build the softest nap corner right here!” Muffin and Fluffy began stacking the pillows together. They decided to put the biggest one at the bottom to make a strong base for their castle of softness.

While Muffin and Fluffy finished the stack, Cinnamon hopped away and returned with a colorful, flowery blanket. He and Fluffy grabbed the corners of the blanket and carefully spread it over the pile of pillows.

Muffin climbed into her new cozy nook and let out a long purr. Cinnamon curled up right next to her. “Comparing the hardness, size, and shape of the pillows was so much fun,” Muffin whispered. The corner felt warm and perfect.

Muffin slowly closed her eyes. The pillow beneath her was exactly the way she liked it—extra soft and peaceful. As the sun began to set, the little kitten fell into a deep, happy sleep in the cozy corner she made with her friends.
