HikayeKitap (StoryBook) is a completely digital library established to nourish children's imaginations, support positive reading habits, and offer a safe, educational reading experience in the digital era.

Our Vision and Mission

In today's technology-driven world, we aim to make screen time as productive and beneficial for children as possible. Our goal is to ensure that every child can easily access high-quality, pedagogically appropriate, richly illustrated, and narrated storybooks.

Our platform hosts more than 474 original storybooks in both Turkish and English. These stories are carefully designed to help children develop critical life skills such as empathy, problem-solving, teamwork, scientific discovery, and environmental awareness.

• Dual Language Support: All of our stories are available in both Turkish and English. With CEFR language level labels ranging from A1.1 to B2, children can track their language progress and learn a new language while having fun.
• Audio Narration (Audiobook): Thanks to the voice-over feature in our books, younger children who do not yet know how to read or write can follow along by listening. Audio narration simultaneously supports language development and listening skills.
• Interactive Flipbook Interface: Our modern page-turning (flipbook) system gives children the digital equivalent of turning the pages of a physical book. Fullscreen mode, font size adjustment, and auto-play features personalize the reading experience.
• Quizzes and Vocabulary Cards: Comprehension quizzes and vocabulary cards at the end of each book transform reading into learning. This structured feedback system reinforces both vocabulary and reading comprehension skills.
• Rich and Educational Categories: We offer a wide range of pedagogical content, from adventure stories to science and technology explorations, from preschool stories to middle school level.
• Safe and Family-Friendly Experience: We keep third-party advertising away from book reading pages, providing children with a distraction-free, safe reading environment.

Our Technology & Innovation

StoryBook is built using the latest web technologies to provide a seamless, fast, and responsive reading experience on mobile devices and desktops. Our Jekyll-based static site infrastructure provides fast page access, while Cloudflare Pages global distribution ensures low latency worldwide.

Additionally, in addition to our website, you can download our mobile application through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store to continue reading anytime, anywhere. The app offers offline reading, customizable reader profiles, and personalized book recommendations.

Our Content Quality Standards

Every story on our platform is evaluated against the following criteria before publication:

• Pedagogical Appropriateness: Language level, topic, and learning objectives are defined according to age group. Language levels are labeled based on the CEFR scale.
• Originality: All of our stories are originally produced; no content copied from other sources is included.
• Visual Quality: Each page's illustration is designed to support the emotional tone and narrative of the story.
• Audio Narration Quality: Voice-overs are prepared with clear pronunciation and an appropriate narrative pace to maintain the child's attention.
• Educational Value: Each story defines clear learning objectives, key vocabulary, and comprehension questions.

Our Editorial Team

Our content is carefully curated and prepared by the StoryBook Editorial Team, who are passionate about children's development and literature. Our team consists of child development specialists, language educators, illustrators, and voice-over artists. Every book and blog post is carefully reviewed to ensure it meets pedagogical standards, providing content that is both educational and entertaining.

Our team also distributes content to a wide audience through our Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube channels, connecting stories with our community through short videos and reels produced for each book.
