The Dragon and the Brave Boy

Next to the Village of Happiness, tucked away between lush green hills, stood a great mountain whose peak was always misty. The villagers were very afraid of the dragon that lived on that mountain and told scary stories about it. But Arda, the most curious boy in the village, didn't believe these stories at all. He was more curious than afraid.

One morning, Arda made up his mind. He put his favorite apple and a storybook in his bag and set off for the mountain without anyone seeing him. "Maybe the dragon is just lonely," he thought to himself.

After a long walk, Arda reached a valley full of flowers. And there it was! But the dragon wasn't breathing fire. The friendly dragon, with emerald-green scales, was blowing colorful, fluffy smoke rings from its mouth. The rings turned into sparkles in the sky.

Arda realized the dragon wasn't scary at all. Gathering his courage, he came out from his hiding place. "Hello," he said in a soft voice. Emerald was surprised to see Arda, but it blinked its huge, wise eyes and looked at him.

Arda shared his apple with Emerald. Emerald responded with a gentle murmur of thanks. Arda sat down beside it and began to read his storybook. Emerald was very happy to listen to these stories it had never heard before.

Soon, they became the best of friends. They played hide-and-seek among the giant rocks and tried to catch the sparkling smoke rings that Emerald blew. Arda discovered how smart and fun Emerald was.

Arda returned to the village and told everyone the truth. "The dragon isn't evil! It's my friend, Emerald!" he said. But the villagers, including the mayor, didn't believe him. "A dragon is always dangerous," they said worriedly.

Arda had a wonderful idea. The village's annual kite festival was approaching. He asked his friend Emerald for help. Emerald listened with its wise eyes and nodded in agreement.

When the day of the festival arrived, there was no wind. All the kites were on the ground, and the children were very sad. Just then, on Arda's signal, Emerald appeared on the mountaintop. It gently flapped its wings, sending a sweet breeze towards the village.

With the wind sent by Emerald, all the kites began to dance in the sky. The villagers understood in that moment how kind-hearted the dragon was. The mayor thanked Arda and invited Emerald to the village. From that day on, Emerald became the most beloved member of the village. Courage and understanding could turn even the greatest differences into friendship.
