Emma and Digi’s Counting Adventure

Hi! I'm Emma, and this is my best friend Digi. He is a very smart robot who loves numbers. Today, we are going to explore the world and count all the way to twenty! Look up at the sky! There is 1 bright, yellow sun shining down on us, and 2 fluffy white clouds floating slowly by.

Let’s walk over to the big apple tree. Digi, do you see any fruit? Yes! Digi bleeps. There are 3 juicy red apples hanging on the low branches. And look at the flowers below! There are 4 busy honeybees buzzing around, looking for sweet nectar. Can you count them with us?

Next, we find a beautiful blue pond. Look, Emma! Digi says. There are 5 little green frogs sitting on giant lily pads, ready to jump. In the water, 6 yellow ducks are swimming in a perfect line. Splash, splash! Counting is so much fun when we do it together.

We walk through the tall, tickly grass. Digi stops and points his sensor at a leaf. There are 7 tiny, spotted ladybugs crawling in a row. Just then, a breeze blows, and 8 colorful butterflies flutter their wings and fly high into the air. One, two, three... all the way to eight!

Digi loves to collect interesting things he finds on the ground. He picks up 9 smooth, grey pebbles and puts them in a neat pile. Right next to the path, Emma finds 10 bright yellow daisies growing in a happy circle. We are halfway to twenty! Great job, everyone!

It is time to go inside and play in the room. Look at my toys! Emma says. On the rug, there are 11 wooden blocks stacked into a tall tower. Digi opens the toy box and finds 12 bouncy balls of all different colors. They look like they want to jump out and play!

Counting makes us very hungry for a snack. Emma brings a plate with 13 crunchy crackers to share. Digi doesn't eat crackers, but he helps Emma count 14 sweet purple grapes. Mmm, they look delicious! Let's take a quick break before we finish our counting journey.

We go back out to the garden to play in the sandbox. Emma spots a line of 15 tiny ants marching across the wooden edge. Digi digs in the sand and discovers 16 shiny blue marbles hidden underneath. They sparkle like little treasures in the light.

The day is starting to cool down, and the sky turns a soft purple. We look up and see 17 twinkling stars starting to appear. In the bushes, 18 little fireflies begin to glow with a magical green light. Everything is so quiet and peaceful as we reach the end of our numbers.

We are almost there! Under the cherry tree, 19 pink petals fall softly like snow. And for the very last number, look at Digi! Emma has placed 20 colorful stickers all over his shiny chest. We did it! We counted all the way from one to twenty! You are a counting superstar!
