Cem and Lila's Treasure Box

It was a sunny afternoon. Cem and Lila were cleaning an old, dusty corner in the attic. Suddenly, they found a huge wooden box with a red ribbon on it. Cem asked curiously, “I wonder what's inside?” Lila’s eyes sparkled as she said, “Maybe it’s a treasure!”

Cem knelt down and excitedly untied the red ribbon. He slowly opened the lid of the box. With a slight creaking sound from inside, the interior of the box began to appear. The box was full of mysterious and colorful objects.

Cem reached into the box and pulled out the first thing his hand touched. It was a bright red fruit. Cem held it out to Lila and asked: “Is this an apple?”

Lila smiled happily and took the apple. After examining the fruit carefully, she answered Cem: “Yes, it is! It's a red apple.”

Lila reached into the box and pulled out a round, orange object. She asked: “Is this a ball?” Cem laughed: “No, it isn't! Is this an orange?” Lila confirmed: “Yes, it is!”

Cem noticed a thin, long object. He held it up. “Is this a pencil?” The yellow color of the pencil sparkled. Lila: “Yes, it is! It is a yellow pencil.”

Lila pulled a blue porcelain object out. “Is this a bowl?” Cem: “Yes, it is. It's a beautiful blue bowl.”

The box began to shake! A “Woof! Woof!” sound rose. A small, furry, brown head popped out.

The little dog jumped on Cem. Cem asked: “Is this a dog?” Lila: “Yes, it is! It's a very cute dog!”

Lila took a thick object with pictures. “Is this a book?” Cem: “Yes, it is! It's a story book!”

Cem and Lila sat side by side on the rug with their dog and objects, reading their new book.
