On a sunny morning, the forest was greener and more vibrant than ever. Nutty, the little squirrel, was hopping happily toward the edge of a sparkling stream. The water flowed gently, and the birds were singing his favorite songs.

Suddenly, Nutty stopped and looked across the water. There, right under a tall tree, something wonderful was shining. It was a giant, bright red acorn, the most beautiful one he had ever seen!

“I must get that acorn!” Nutty said. But the stream was very wide, and it was too far to jump. He didn't want to get wet, so he started walking up and down the bank, looking for a way to cross.

As he looked around, he found some long, thick branches under the trees. “This is it!” he cheered. But when he tried to pull them, the branches were so heavy that Nutty couldn't move them even a little bit.

Just then, his friend Pip the rabbit hopped out from behind some bushes. “Hi Nutty! Why are you working so hard?” Pip asked. Nutty pointed to the red acorn. Pip smiled and said, “Don't worry, we can do this together!”

Nutty and Pip joined their forces. They carried the long branches one by one and laid them across the stream. Slowly, a narrow but beautiful little bridge began to appear over the water.

Pip wanted to make sure the bridge was safe. He found a heavy, gray stone by the water and carefully placed it right in the middle of the branches. The bridge didn't wobble at all; it stayed perfectly still.

“It's our turn now!” Nutty said. He lifted his fluffy tail and began to walk slowly across the bridge. Pip followed right behind him. They both moved very carefully, step by step.

When they reached the other side, they jumped for joy. The red acorn was right in front of them! “We did it!” Nutty shouted. They were so happy to find this wonderful prize together.

Before going back, they decided to make the bridge even stronger. Pip gathered some beautiful, colorful stones from the bank and lined them up along the edges of the branches. Now the bridge looked strong and pretty.

Nutty touched Pip’s shoulder. “You know, Pip,” he said, “I couldn't have reached the acorn alone. When we work together, even the hardest jobs become as easy as playing a game.”

As the sun began to set, the two friends sat on the green grass by their new bridge. They shared the red acorn and listened to the peaceful sound of the stream, happy after a long day of teamwork.
