Little Pearl and the Orange Seashell

Little Pearl the seal was playing on the warm, golden sand. She looked down and saw something very bright. Oh! A beautiful orange shell! she said. Pearl was very happy with her treasure.

Pearl jumped into the water to show her friends. First, she found Patter the seahorse. Look, Patter! Look at my orange shell! Pearl said. Patter twirled around in the water because he liked it so much.

Next, Pearl swam to see Ziggy the fish. Ziggy was zipping through the bubbles. Ziggy, see my shell! Pearl called out. Ziggy wiggled his fins and did a little dance in the water.

Pearl dove down to a cozy rock where Starry the starfish was resting. Pearl showed her the bright shell. It is so pretty! Starry whispered. Starry reached out one of her points to touch the smooth shell.

Inky the octopus was waving all eight of his long arms. Pearl swam close and showed him her treasure. Inky reached out a tentacle and gave the orange shell a gentle tap. He was very curious!

On the sandy bottom, Snappy the crab was walking sideways. Pearl placed the shell on the sand for him to see. Click, click! said Snappy. He liked the bright orange color very much.

Shelly the sea turtle was swimming very slowly through the deep blue sea. Pearl swam fast to catch up. Look at my treasure, Shelly! Pearl barked. Shelly nodded her head and smiled a slow, kind smile.

Pearl hopped out of the water and onto a big, flat stone. Silver the seagull flew down from the sky to say hello. Squawk! What a shiny shell! Silver said. He looked at the orange shell with his bright eyes.

Suddenly, there was a big splash! Dash the dolphin leaped high into the air. Pearl held the shell up high so he could see. Dash made a happy whistling sound and splashed back into the waves.

A giant shadow appeared in the deep water. It was Biggie the whale! Pearl felt very small, but she wanted to share her joy. Look, Biggie! she shouted. Biggie blew a big, magnificent water spout to show he liked it.

Pearl looked at her beautiful shell and then at all her friends around her. She realized that showing the shell to everyone made her even happier. Sharing her discovery made her heart feel very warm.

Sharing is the best! Pearl thought. She spent the rest of the day playing games with all her friends in the big blue sea. The orange shell shone like the sun, reminding them all that sharing is fun!
