It was a beautiful, sunny morning. Little bunny Fluffy jumped up and down with excitement. Today, he decided to go to his favorite place: the big strawberry field. Shaking his long ears, he started walking along the green path. The birds were singing, and the flowers seemed to smile at him.

When he reached the field, everything was covered in lush green leaves. Fluffy leaned down and peeked under the leaves. Suddenly, his eyes sparkled. “There it is!” he cried. A bright, red, and juicy strawberry was looking right at him. This was the first strawberry he found.

Fluffy hopped a little further and saw two more strawberries. “One, two, three!” he began to count out loud. Counting was so much fun! The strawberries sparkled like rubies under the sun. Fluffy couldn't wait to fill his basket.

Just then, a sound came from the bushes. It was Fluffy's best friend, Lily the bunny. Lily had a small basket in her hand. “Hi Fluffy! Are you picking strawberries? Can I help you?” she asked cheerfully.

“Of course!” said Fluffy. Together, they continued to count the strawberries. Lily found one, then Fluffy found another. “Four, five, six...” As the numbers grew, so did their joy. The field looked like a green carpet decorated with bright red dots.

Fluffy picked up a very large strawberry. “Look, Lily, this one is huge!” he said. Then he pointed to a tiny strawberry next to it. “And this one is teeny-tiny.” Fluffy had discovered the difference between big and small. He put the big strawberry in one corner of his basket and the small one in the other.

Lily started sorting her strawberries by size too. “Big ones here, small ones there!” she sang. The two friends realized how easy it was to group the strawberries in the field. Their baskets were slowly filling up with delicious fruit.

Fluffy noticed that some of the strawberries were still green. “These aren't ripe yet,” he told Lily. “We should only pick the reddest ones, because those are the sweetest.” Together, they looked at the colors and chose only the brightest red strawberries.

When their baskets were completely full, Fluffy and Lily were tired but very happy. “Let's have a picnic with these tasty strawberries,” Fluffy suggested. They began walking toward the shade of the biggest tree at the edge of the field.

When they reached the tree, they saw their old friend, Toby the turtle. Toby was moving slowly toward them. Lily immediately spread the picnic blanket on the grass. “Welcome, Toby! You arrived just in time,” Lily said brightly.

Fluffy reached into his basket and picked out one of the biggest, reddest strawberries for Toby. “Please try one, Toby. Lily and I picked them ourselves,” he said. Toby sniffed the strawberry and took a big bite. “Delicious!” Toby said with a smile.

As the sun slowly began to set, the three friends sat under the shade of the tree eating their fresh strawberries. That day, Fluffy hadn't just learned how to count and compare; he had learned how wonderful it is to share with friends.
