Bouncy the Little Frog and the Lily Pad Train
As the orange sun rose over the clear blue pond, Bouncy the little frog woke up with a happy heart. He felt like a big adventure was waiting for him. He stood on a wet stone, looked at the cool water, and smiled.
Bouncy looked at the big, round lily pads floating on the water. They were lined up one after another across the pond. “They look just like the cars of a train!” Bouncy shouted. He had a great idea: he would make a Lily Pad Train!
Bouncy called out to his best friend, Hoppy. Hoppy was sunbathing on the other side of the pond. “Hoppy, come here! Let's build a lily pad train and travel across the water!” Bouncy said. Hoppy was so excited that he jumped up right away.
Along the way, they met a sweet frog named Skippy. Skippy was playing hide-and-seek among the flowers. “Can I be the last car of the train?” Skippy asked. Bouncy and Hoppy cheered, “Of course you can!” The team was finally ready.
The adventure began! Bouncy was the engine at the front, and Hoppy followed right behind him. They began to hop from one leaf to the next. “Choo choo!” they all shouted, making train sounds. The pond was filled with the sound of their laughter.
But suddenly, they stopped. The next lily pad was much too far away! There was a very wide gap of water in the middle of their track. Bouncy and Skippy stood at the edge of the leaf and looked at the distance with worry. It was too far to jump.
Hoppy and Skippy looked toward the tall grass near the shore. They saw a small, lonely leaf floating all by itself. “If we find that leaf and move it into the gap, we can make a bridge!” Hoppy suggested. It was a brilliant plan.
Bouncy and Hoppy dove into the water. They swam behind the small leaf and began to push it together. “One, two, three... push!” Working together made the heavy leaf start to move slowly across the pond toward the gap.
Finally, the small leaf drifted right into place between the two big ones. The train track was fixed! Bouncy and Skippy walked safely across the new bridge to reach the other side. By helping each other, they had overcome the big gap.
The Lily Pad Train continued its journey. Bouncy, Hoppy, and Skippy explored every corner of the pond together. Bouncy learned that when you think and work together, hard things become easy. It was the best train ride ever.
