Barnaby the bear was an early riser. One morning, he noticed something special in the corner of his living room. High on the wall was a round window made of bright red, deep blue, and golden yellow glass. Barnaby walked toward it, his eyes wide with wonder.

Suddenly, the sun peeked out from behind a cloud. Bright beams of light streamed through the colored glass and tumbled into the room. The wooden floor was suddenly covered in glowing spots of color. Barnaby felt like he was standing inside a treasure chest.

Barnaby reached out a soft paw and stepped onto a large, red circle of light. “It’s as red as a crunchy apple!” he giggled. The red light glowed warmly against his brown fur, making his paw look like it was part of a painting.

He gave a little hop and landed on the blue light. Now his paws looked like the deep, summer sky. Barnaby realized the lights felt soft and warm on his toes. He began to wiggle his feet, watching the blue light dance.

When Barnaby looked up, he saw a splash of yellow light high on the wall. It was shining right next to an empty picture frame. It looked like a tiny piece of the sun had come inside to visit. He stood on his tiptoes and reached as high as he could.

Barnaby began to follow the colors one by one. He hopped from the red to the blue, and then reached for the yellow again. He felt like a detective following a secret, glowing trail that led all around his cozy home.

After a while, Barnaby noticed something very strange. The red light wasn't where it had been before! As the sun moved across the sky, the colorful spots on the floor were slowly sliding across the room.

Just then, there was a soft knock at the door. It was Barnaby's best friend, Pip the bunny. Barnaby opened the door quickly. “Come in, Pip! Look at the magic colors living in my house!” he cried.

The two friends started a game of “Catch the Color.” Pip tried to pounce on the blue light while Barnaby twirled around in the yellow glow. The house was filled with happy giggles and shimmering rainbows.

By the afternoon, the sun had moved even further. The lights were now climbing up the furniture. A bright red glow landed right in Pip’s lap as he sat down to rest. He cupped his paws around it, pretending he was holding a glowing flower.

Barnaby discovered that the sun’s journey across the sky changed the whole world inside his house. As the direction of the light changed, new shapes and colors appeared in every corner. Everything felt brand new.

As the sun began to set, Barnaby and Pip sat by the round window. The sky outside turned orange and pink. They knew that when the sun rose tomorrow, their colorful game would begin all over again. “Goodnight, window,” Barnaby whispered.
