Toby the Little Turtle and the Tiny Garden
On a sunny morning, Toby the little turtle looked at an empty space at the edge of the forest. “This could be a wonderful garden!” he thought. He felt a great wave of excitement as he dreamed of colorful flowers and fresh vegetables.
To make a garden, the soil had to be prepared first. Toby took his small shovel and began digging the ground slowly. He aerated the soil and made it soft. It was a bit tiring, but Toby never gave up.
The soil was now ready for planting. Toby took a handful of magic seeds from his bag. He carefully placed the seeds in the small rows he had opened on top of the soil. “I wonder what you will become when you grow up,” he whispered.
To keep the seeds from getting cold, he covered them with a soft layer of soil. He spread it over them like a warm blanket. Now, all he had to do was wait for the tiny seeds to wake up.
Toby came to his garden every day and checked the soil. His friend Hopper the Rabbit began to join him. Hopper encouraged him, saying, “Nothing has come out yet, Toby, you must be patient.”
One morning, when Toby went to his garden, he couldn't believe his eyes! Tiny, bright green sprouts had poked their heads out from under the ground. Toby started dancing around in circles with joy.
The sprouts needed water to grow. Toby filled his bright blue watering can and sprinkled water over the sprouts like rain. Sammy the Squirrel was watching him with interest from a nearby tree branch.
Days passed, the sun shone, and the rains fell. The small sprouts turned into huge vegetables. The tops of orange carrots and vibrant green lettuce began to appear on the soil. The garden was now a full feast of colors.
It was harvest time! Toby and Hopper the Rabbit joined hands to pull the biggest carrot out of the ground. “One, two, three... And there!” The carrot popped out of the ground cheerfully. Toby was experiencing the happiness of being rewarded for his hard work.
Toby shared the delicious vegetables he grew with his friends. Hopper and Sammy had a feast under the shade of a large tree, eating Toby's fresh vegetables. Toby now knew very well that everything would become beautiful with patience and effort.
