Mama Daisy and the Secret Song

In a cozy little house nestled among green meadows, lived Mama Daisy and her three adorable kids. Pip, Dot, and Bolt loved to skip and play around their loving mother.

One sunny morning, Mama Daisy told her little ones, 'My dear kids, I'm going to the forest to gather some fresh, juicy grass. Please stay safe at home and whatever you do, don't open the door for anyone.'

'When I come back, I'll knock on the door and sing you a special song,' Mama Daisy explained. 'My song goes like this: My little darlings, my little darlings, open the door, for I am here!'

'Remember, my sweet ones, this is our secret password! Don't open the door for anyone who doesn't sing this song,' she warned. Then, she kissed them goodbye and set off towards the forest.

Once Mama Daisy had left, Pip, Dot, and Bolt happily started playing inside the house. They played hopscotch and hide-and-seek. Time flew by so quickly!

Suddenly, a pair of curious eyes began to watch them from the window. It was Shadow the Wolf. He realized the little kids were all alone.

Shadow the Wolf decided to try a trick. He knocked on the door and, trying to mimic Mama Daisy's voice, he sang in a gruff voice: 'My little darlings, my little darlings, open the door, for I am here!'

The kids immediately looked at each other. 'That's not Mama's voice!' exclaimed Pip. 'Mama's voice is much sweeter and she sings so beautifully!' added Dot. Bolt nodded in agreement.

'Mama told us, Don't open the door for anyone who doesn't sing the song!' remembered Bolt. All three decided to listen to their mother's wise words.

Shadow the Wolf was quite surprised when the kids didn't open the door. He realized he couldn't trick them. With a grumble, he turned and slinked back into the forest.

Not long after, Mama Daisy returned. She knocked on the door and, with her sweet voice, sang her special song: 'My little darlings, my little darlings, open the door, for I am here!'

The kids joyfully opened the door and hugged their mother tightly. Mama Daisy kissed her little ones with all her love. 'Well done, my clever kids, you stayed safe because you listened to me,' she said. And they all lived happily ever after.
