Little Toucan and the Fruit Color Festival

Deep in the heart of the Emerald Jungle, the sun was waking up. Tico the Little Toucan flapped his wings with excitement. Today was the day of the Great Fruit Color Festival! Tico had invited all his friends to bring their favorite colorful treats to the big clearing.

The first guest to arrive was Mimo the Monkey. He came swinging through the vines with a big, playful grin. In his hands, he carried a heavy bunch of bright yellow bananas. Look, Tico! Mimo cheered. I brought the color of the sunshine!

Mimo placed the bananas on a giant green leaf. The yellow was so bright it made everyone feel warm and happy. Mimo peeled one slightly to show how soft and sweet it was inside. Yellow is the color of energy! he said, doing a little dance.

Slowly but surely, Toska the Turtle arrived next. She moved carefully through the tall grass, carrying a small wooden bowl on her shell. Inside the bowl were plump, round, purple grapes. Purple is the color of magic, Toska whispered with a smile.

Toska set her bowl down next to the yellow bananas. The deep purple grapes looked like tiny, shiny jewels under the jungle canopy. These are juicy and sweet, Toska said, nudging a grape toward the center of the leaf with her nose.

Suddenly, a flash of bright feathers zoomed overhead. It was Loli the Parrot! She landed gracefully, holding a small basket made of twigs in her beak. Inside the basket were the most beautiful red strawberries Tico had ever seen. Red for love and friendship! Loli chirped.

Loli emptied her basket, and the red strawberries scattered like little hearts among the other fruits. The red was so vibrant it made the whole festival look like a painting. Loli hopped around, admiring how the red looked next to the yellow and purple.

Thump, hop, thump! Pati the Rabbit came bouncing into the clearing. She was carrying a soft cloth bag filled with round, fuzzy orange apricots. I brought the color of the sunset! Pati exclaimed, her long ears twitching with joy.

Pati rolled the apricots onto the leaf. The orange color was warm and inviting. Apricots are like little bites of summer, Pati said, tossing one up in the air and catching it skillfully. She laughed as the orange fruit caught the light.

Finally, a rustle came from the bushes. Maki the Hedgehog peeked out, his quills covered in fuzzy green kiwis! He had used his spikes to carry them all the way there. Green is the color of our beautiful home, Maki said proudly.

Maki carefully shook the green kiwis onto the pile. When they sliced them open, the inside was a bright, beautiful green with tiny black seeds. It looks like a secret star! Maki said, looking closely at the fruit.

Tico looked at the rainbow of fruit yellow, purple, red, orange, and green. Together, the friends mixed them all into a giant fruit salad. The colors are beautiful, Tico said, but sharing them with friends is the best part of all!
