Bubbles was gliding happily through the cool, blue waters of the ocean. He saw something bright resting on the soft sand below. It was a sparkling orange starfish! Bubbles dived down to get a closer look at his new friend.

Bubbles landed softly on the sand next to the orange starfish. It looked just like the stars in the night sky, but this one lived under the sea. Bubbles noticed that the starfish had exactly five arms.

Bubbles decided to count the arms. Gently touching each one with his flipper, he said, “One, two, three, four, and five!” Counting was so much fun, and the starfish seemed to enjoy the attention.

Just then, Bubbles’ best friend, Pearl, swam over to join him. “Hi Bubbles! What a beautiful thing you have found,” Pearl said with a giggle. Now, the two little seals gathered around the bright starfish.

The two friends looked at each other with excitement. “I wonder if there are more starfish around here?” they wondered. Together, they began to search by swimming through the giant, colorful coral reefs.

Before long, they found another starfish hidden among the long, green seaweed. “Look, this one is bright red!” said Pearl. The red starfish sparkled like a red jewel in the green grass of the sea.

Bubbles was busy searching too. When he climbed onto a big, gray rock, he found a bright yellow starfish. “There's one here, too! It is yellow, just like the sun!” he called out to Pearl.

The two friends carefully gathered all the starfish they had found. They began to line them up on the sand according to their colors. First they placed the red one, then the orange one, and finally the yellow one.

The starfish lined up together looked wonderful on the seabed. Red, orange, and yellow... a colorful row had appeared! The underwater world looked more vibrant than ever before.

Bubbles said, “I never knew shapes and colors could be so much fun!” The five-armed star shape and the bright colors made him very happy. Pearl nodded and danced through the water.

Playtime was coming to an end. The two friends knew the starfish needed to return to their own homes. They gently picked them up and released them, watching them drift back into the deep blue sea.

As the sun began to set, Bubbles headed home. Today he had learned about counting, colors, and the joy of sharing a discovery with a friend. With a happy heart, he drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep.
