Little Raki and His Tiny Boat

Little Raccoon Raki finds a small wooden toy boat by the stream. The boat is sitting right on the edge of the clear water. Raki smiles and picks it up carefully. Oh, what a beautiful boat! says Raki.

White rabbit Tavi hops over to see. Raki and Tavi gently put the boat into the stream. The boat wobbles a little on the water. Swim, little boat, swim! says Tavi. They watch as the boat begins its journey.

Red squirrel Sini climbs down from a tree. Raki and Sini watch the stream flow as the boat glides slowly along. Look, it’s going so well! says Sini. The boat moves gracefully through the bright water.

Little hedgehog Kipi crawls out from the bushes. Raki and Kipi stop to count smooth pebbles on the shore. One, two, three... The boat passes by them. Tap tap, tap tap! go the pebbles.

Yellow chick Civi walks over with tiny steps. Raki and Civi see a very big water lily leaf in the water. The boat passes right next to it. Tweet tweet, what a huge leaf! says Civi. Everything in the woods is so colorful.

Duckling Daki quacks with joy. Raki and Daki watch a bright blue butterfly land on the boat's mast. It stays for a moment and then flies away. Splish splash, the water is cool! says Daki.

Little beaver Kuni comes out from his home. Raki and Kuni look at how clear the water is today. They can see green mossy stones deep underneath. Look, the bottom is so shiny! says Kuni.

Turtle Lumbi arrives very slowly. Raki and Lumbi watch the sun sparkling on the water like tiny diamonds. The stream is very bright. No rush, let's watch slowly, says Lumbi. Raki learns to wait patiently.

Sparrow Serçi flies down from the sky. Raki and Serçi listen to the soft wind blowing through the trees. Whoosh, the leaves are shaking, says Serçi. With a little help from the wind, the boat nears a pier.

Little otter Sumu pops his head out of the water. Raki and Sumu see the boat reach a small wooden pier at the end of the stream. We’re here! says Sumu happily.

Raki and Sumu tie the boat's little rope to the pier. Now the boat is safe and sound. Raki is happy to help his friend. Click clack, the knot is done! they say together.

Raki and all his friends sit on the grass together. They listen to the gentle sound of the water and smile. The forest is very peaceful. The best journeys are the small ones taken with friends.
