Ali's Alphabet Picnic

"A a," said Ali the little ant. "I'm going on an amazing picnic! What should I eat?" His mom gave him a bright red apple. "Here, Ali, a tasty apple."

Ali took his apple and went on his way. He saw Bora the bee. "B b," buzzed Bora. "Would you like some bread and honey for your big picnic?"

While Ali ate his bread and honey, he saw Ceyda the cricket. "C c," chirped Ceyda. "Your picnic looks so cheerful!"

Ali smiled at Ceyda. "D d," he said. "That's delightful! Would you like a delicious strawberry?" He took a big red strawberry from his basket.

Just then, they saw a granddad woodpecker on a branch. "E e," he chirped. "Everyone, look! I'm eating excellent mulberries!"

Ali said, "F f. Apple, honey, and strawberries... My basket is full of my favorite foods!" He took another bite of his bread.

Next to the picnic spot was a hazelnut tree. A field mouse squeaked, "G g. I've got a great big hazelnut!"

Ali looked up at the sun. "H h," he said. "How high and happy the sun is!" The sun smiled and sent its warm rays down.

Ali saw his friend, Havva the ladybug. "I i," he called out. "I have an incredible carrot cake. Would you like a slice?"

The sunshine was bright. Ali said, "J j. I'll just rest for a moment." He rested in the shade of a giant, jagged spinach leaf.

Ali took two figs from his basket. "K k," he said with kindness. "These figs are so sweet. I will keep one to take home to my mom."

As Ali was walking home, he saw a jeep. It was a toy jeep! "L l," he said with a laugh. "Look at that lovely little jeep!" Ali walked home happily. It had been a wonderful picnic day.
