Ada's Number Adventure


Look, Ada! It's a new day. One sun is shining in the sky. A big, warm sun. One, one, one... Just one sun.


Ada is walking in the garden. Oh, what's that? Two red tulips! They are so beautiful. One, two... Two beautiful tulips.


Chirp, chirp! Three little birds have landed on the tree branch. They are singing a song. One, two, three... Three cheerful birds.


What's dangling from the branch? Four juicy apples! Four bright red apples. One, two, three, four... Four sweet apples.


Flutter, flutter, flutter! Five butterflies are flying above the flowers. They are dancing with their colorful wings. One, two, three, four, five... Five colorful butterflies.


Ada found a big green leaf. Six ladybugs are walking on it. Six red and spotted ladybugs. One, two, three, four, five, six... Six tiny ladybugs.


Quack, quack! Seven ducklings are swimming in the pond. They are lined up behind their mother. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven... Seven fluffy ducklings.


Ada has eight balloons in her hand! They are swaying in the wind. She holds them tightly so they don't fly away. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight... Eight flying balloons.


Playtime! Ada is building a tower with nine blocks. She is stacking the colorful blocks on top of each other. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine... Nine toy blocks.


It's nighttime now. Ada is looking out the window. Ten stars are twinkling in the sky. Ten sparkling stars. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten... Ten bright stars.


Ada loved counting. The sun, the flowers, the birds... Everything from one to ten was wonderful. But the most beautiful thing in the world couldn't be counted.
