Pip and the Fallen Star

Pip is a little hedgehog. He loves to explore the forest. One night, he sees a bright light in the sky. Whoosh! Something shiny falls down.

Pip runs to the bushes. He finds a tiny, glowing star. “Hello, little star,” Pip says softly. The star twinkles a happy hello back at him.

Barnaby the rabbit hops over. Hop, hop, hop! “What did you find, Pip?” he asks. Barnaby sees the star and his long ears wiggle with surprise.

Pip and Barnaby want to help the star get home. They try to lift it high. Up, up, up! But the star is too heavy to throw into the sky. They both giggle and try again.

Professor Hoot the owl flies down from a tall tree. “The star needs to be on the highest hill,” he says wisely. Pip looks up at the Professor and smiles.

Pip and Barnaby walk to the very top of the hill. They find a beautiful, glowing flower. “I think the star belongs here,” says Pip.

Barnaby carefully places the star on the flower. Professor Hoot watches from above. Suddenly, the star begins to float! It feels very light and happy.

The star floats higher and higher. Pip watches as it leaves a trail of gold sparkles in the air. “Bye-bye, star!” Pip calls out.

The star is back home in the sky. It is the brightest star of all. Pip and Barnaby sit together on the grass and look up at the beautiful night.

Pip walks back to his cozy home. He feels very warm and happy inside. He helped a friend find their way home today.

Pip gets into his soft bed. He looks out of his window. The little star is still there, twinkling just for him. Pip waves one last time.

Pip closes his eyes. He dreams of flying through the clouds and dancing with the stars. Goodnight, Pip. Sweet dreams.
