Little Pelican and the Pink Seashell

Pelin is a little pelican. She lives by the big, blue sea. One morning, she finds something special. Look! It is a bright pink seashell. It is very pretty.

Gökçe the Seagull flies down from the sky. Hello, Pelin! says Gökçe. She looks at the shell. Look how it sparkles, Gökçe says. The shell is very shiny in the sun.

Tonton the Turtle crawls slowly over the sand. Pelin shows him the pink shell. Tonton touches it with his flipper. Oh! It is so smooth, says Tonton. He likes how it feels.

Çıtçıt the Crab walks sideways across the beach. He stops to look at the shell. Look at the lines, says Çıtçıt. He follows the wavy lines on the shell with his little claw.

Pırıltı the Seahorse swims in a little pool of water. She looks up at Pelin. What a lovely color! she says. Pırıltı loves that the shell is so very pink.

Maviş the Fish bubbles up to the surface. He looks at the shell’s special shape. It is round and curly, says Maviş. He swims in a happy circle around the shell.

Vakvak the Duck waddles over from the grass. Quack! It is just the right size, says Vakvak. It is small and sweet, just like a little treasure.

Ponçik the Seal hops onto a big, flat rock. Pelin holds the shell close to Ponçik’s ear. Listen, says Ponçik. I can hear the sound of the ocean inside!

Işıl the Starfish is resting on a cool stone. Pelin places the shell next to her. It feels so nice and cool, says Işıl. The shell feels like a cold drop of water.

Neşe the Dolphin leaps high out of the water. She swims to the shore to see the shell. What a strong shell, says Neşe. It is very hard and safe.

All the friends think the shell is wonderful. It is beautiful, says Neşe the Dolphin. But it belongs to the beach. Pelin nods her head. Yes, let's leave it here for everyone to see.

Pelin gently places the pink seashell on the soft, warm sand. It looks happy in its home by the waves. Goodbye, little shell, says Pelin. She is happy she shared it with her friends.
