Lily and her friends came up with a wonderful idea to leave a trace of themselves for children of the future. While sitting in the school garden, they decided to send a message to those who would attend this school many years later.

They got to work immediately. Inside the box, they placed colorful drawings describing their current school lives, favorite games, and biggest dreams. Lily carefully placed her favorite drawing from art class into the box.

Drawings weren't enough; they also wrote a list of their favorite book titles one by one. They wanted the children of the future to read those magical stories and feel the same excitement they felt today.

They described the technologies they use every day. Inside the capsule, they left little notes explaining how tablets, smartphones, and game consoles work. Perhaps in the future, these things would be long forgotten.

They took photos of the most beautiful corners of the school garden. They went to the old wooden bench and stood under the large sycamore tree, smiling brightly to freeze this moment in time forever.

Their teacher, Ms. Melis, wanted to help when she saw their meaningful project. To protect the time capsule from moisture and the elements, they worked together to tape the box tightly and package it securely.

On the outside of the capsule, in big and fancy letters, they wrote the date it was to be opened: exactly fifty years from now. Just imagining that distant day made them feel a tingle of excitement.

Lily wondered how the children fifty years from now would feel when they opened this box. “Maybe they'll be very surprised to see how much fun we had today,” she whispered softly.

Her friends began to talk about what might change in the future. Arda said, “Maybe there will be flying school buses by then!” Ceren wondered if robot teachers would be the ones giving the lessons.

They realized that while many things would change, some things would always stay the same. Friendship, curiosity, and the desire to learn new things would always be there, no matter how much time passed.

Finally, they placed the capsule in a special, safe corner of the school library to wait for its future owners. Now their message was in safe hands, hidden away amongst the stories.

As Lily walked home, she realized that leaving a message for the future was actually about understanding the present more clearly. She looked more closely at the blue sky, the scent of the flowers, and her friends' laughter. Today was truly precious.
